Uni. Gathering

After graduate from Curtin last year, have not been contact with the rest of my classmate (especially Jessica, woh ...she change so much .....hope she is not reading this particular post.)

We tok and tok from 8 pm to 11pm at La Cave CHIJMES.........didn't know time really fly so fast. Some of them still thought that I'ill holding that good paid webmaster job ....ha ha ha sigh ~

Side Effects

On the first 3 day, the side effect is like making me feel more awake than usual, dry mouth and an unpleasant taste in my mouth only.

Holiday Trip

Me and my wife is planning a short getaway from this small island. Together with my colleague and her boyfriend is joining us for a 2D/1N trip in this bigger island in Indonesia, Batam.

Hope on that day the currency exchange rate will be better so that we can have cheaper lobster, seafood and beer.

Changes Take Place :0

Life getting not better beacuse of GDP, people's attitude changes because you grow fatter, salary getting thinner because economy is not good.

All this small and big change take place around us very quickly and sometime you dun ever notice that. Some time it is because of our fault, but some time it is because some one grows up or grows old. Like me, a bit sian of shopping and walking along orchard road, prefer to have nice meal at home either lunch or dinner with friends or colleague.

Althought still have 1 years ++ then say goodbye to 20, but my heart in certain area still playful and never change. I still prefer to sit in front of my computer and do my favour things, PLAY COMPUTER GAMES.

Just remember, every days there is change but there is some thing that last forever if you have the heart to maintain it, it is possible to have it forever lasting, I mean friendship.

I have friends who are close to me, seeing everyday and I really treat them like bully, good friend, best friend and a friend that they will lay their life down for you. But in the end, they backstab you when trouble take place, they speak ill of you when they got nothing to do in office. ....me come back later. Got things to do again...so tired.

First issue::
Today when I submit my report to my CFO, he wants me to announce in the email to everyone that this guy so and so didn't shut down his computer last evening, and if repeats on the next time, his name is going to be on the notice board + 40% pay cut.

Second issue::
Regards to the blocking of game sites for the staff, the matter is getting hotter as I have to report to their direct manager and my GM as well. Finally, I manage to learn Cisco Configurating with one of the vendor. Lesson one is ...how to access Cisco router by using a Linux system via console (cable connection).

Lesson one detail is learn how to apply Access Control List - means to block what traffic can come in and go out. So I manage to block all staff from surfing a popular website call NeoPet.

Quite happy after many days of research, but in the middle of configuring, some hicaps and cause all internet connection to be down. But I gain some experience.

Hurray....can't wait 6:30 pm to arrive.

From today onward, I can't go home promptly. Dun ask me the reason why cause you know the situation in Singapore at the moment.

Pay cut is across the board 15% and working hour has adjusted from 9am to 6:30pm (30 mins. more instead of 6pm), 5 day work.

I dun feel sad about work, I feel sad about my life. Why I end up paying debts to live my life going on and getting this type of pay while having a degree paper and 6 years working experience. My mood has been very down for this few weeks. I dun feel like toking to anyone, just feel frustrated at people in the work place.

North East Train just started today, eager to try out but second thought of it.....dun try out during weekday. What if train jam or technical error like LRT in West area, I will be late for work and deduct salary.

After 2 day 1 nite (Sat and Sunday) never sleep, I'm finally sick. Yes. For the past 6 years, I was in IT Industry all the while, from Technical Support to Programmer, to Web Master and now as IT Executive in Travel line. Reason for such thinking is prospect, I dun see much prospect as a IT Executive in the current line. Cause doesn't have much for me to explore (after 9 months over here).

Problem is not that I can't learn but is can I fullfill the job requirement and I like the job? The working hour is from 8 am to 6pm but maybe extend to 12am or even 4 am due to TimeZone differ.

I really need to think again, dun wan to choose a wrong path and waste all effort down to the drain.

Wake up in the morning and still feeling sick, decided to brush my teeth first and found that there are blood stain around my mouth...wonder who did I bite last nite. (no lah) ..actually it is my teeth bleeding. Think I'm too heatly and boil some chinese tea in the morning to cool myself. Woman woman woman ...they are also a headache to the management when there is too many women in a office. This is the sceniro:

One woman by the name of VK, suppose to be on 24hr duty service and collect the laptop from office during the last weekend. When she come back on Monday, assume me in charge of laptop and throw in on my table (of course I ignore her).
Today is Friday, another woman by the name of HL, is her turn to be answering service from tonite until next Monday. And she heard from VK say that the laptop is spoil and cannot be use. She came to me and ask how to use if the laptop is spoil. Without a second thought, I ask her to turn on the laptop and try out first before conclude that it is out of service and it turns out to be perfectly fine.

She jump to the GM's room and complain that VT give wrong information and blah blah blah ...both woman being to shout at one another until my GM's face turn color.....

Sigh ~ ~ lucky there is only old man in the management team, if not World War III will starts in my office.

Today my body temperature is 37.1 ....if I drink hot hot tea ..i can kang for MC and rest at home to sleep more. Out of sudden, i feel so tried and stress out by works.

Sian ...next week even more sian. Some of my office auntie asking me to join them for Californa Gym. And they will pay for me. Even asking me to go for KTV in the afternoon......see first lah.

Finally my home PC is up again. Manage to find the solution from a website rather than calling the Technical Support Helpdesk for solution and in the end, asking me to change a new Network Card. Prepare to plan for next week program so that I can be occupied thru out the week. Wonder if Rykiel is free to come to my place for R&R session .....maybe should organise a gathering during the Vesak Day or weekend so that do more meaning thing to Little Chantelle. Rite ?

Heee heee Looking forward 10-11 May cause going over to batam for R & R (Rest & Relax) working for 2 person's role is too stress and tiring for me during these 2 weeks. Damm it ...ask us to get only 60% of salary and our workload increase everyday. Fuck their mother asss hole.

Yestersday my temperature reading is 36.4 and this morning is 36 degree. Why does my body temperature is lower than other people ? is it because of my mood today ? heard from someone if mood not happy, then body temp. will be lower.

Heard from people that drink beer...smoke ..can prevent or cure SARS ...wonder is it true.

Anyway, my mood is not good this morning, being complain by people say that my burger is very oily and tea is very sweet. Then you wake up early to boil the tea lah ...why wake up so late and complain, if you are not happy with her then you go ahead and teach your sister not to put so many sweets into the tea. And do you notice that someone always throw the pillow onto the ground when she lie downo the sofa and throw unuse tissue on the basin area.

I have nag enough for these days and I'm really tired all this thing, if you are scare that confronting them will make the relationship sour, then you have to blame your parents and your brothers and sisters. They have spoil her for all these year. You wan to tell me that you quarrel with her over the mirror in the morning sometimes ago, then you have to do something, if you wan me to talk to her, then you have to be mentally prepare to console her 'cause I dun give face to people who mess up my home. 4:04PM - Latest Latest news, work 1 week, off 1 week and pay cut 40%.

3:49PM - Latest decision from the Management, all staff pay cut for 50% and work only 3 days a week. Die this time, need to find part time job in order to survive.

On 7 April, new implmentation from my company,

- All Staff suffer a pay cut from 10% to 15% depends on salary range (mine is 12%).
- Work 5 days instead of 5.5 days a week.

Yestersday, Deputy MD wants all of us to clear 50% of our leave before 15 May 2003. (I still have 4 days to clear)

Today, another pay cut will carry out.

Sigh ~ ~ but the Deputy MD decided to treat me and another gals for a good lunch tomorrow to compensate us but I still prefer cash instead. Sigh ~ what to do, life is like this and times are getting from bad to worse. Wanted to get a new job also very difficult as I have backdate from IT Industry even since I join this coy.

Finally, me back in work again. Out of sudden I feel so lazy to come back to work, rather seeking for another job like GameMaster or something else.
Sigh ~ ~ time is really bad and guess now is a good time to hold back and learn more things (plan for the future).

I was being ask to stay at home for next couple for days. Reason is that my face has caught sunburn since last week. Plus I'm allegic to dust, it create rashes on neck, ear, eye as well.

Gals from office bring up the management and they decided to let me stay at home until next Monday. And I have to report my daily status to the office.

Just before I about to switch off my PC and pack my things to go home, my boss call me in.

He mentioned that in another Travel Agency, there was a ticketing guy used to do ticketing for years and have picked up the role of IT Support, and whenever they need manpower, he will fill in that position to support the ticketing like sales, handling customer, cut ticket as well.

The Management have the idea of putting me for course like Fare Calculation, Ticketing and Reservation course so that I can be more "multi-tasking" than now. What a good idea they can think so, in the other hand, they expand my area of work so that I can experience more things than now.....(try to create more interested environment for me)...but let me know ....are they going to give me a rise for extra job scope ...what if I fill in that particular ticketing position and they never get another ticketing guy to come in ..then I die liao.

Let me think thru ....

Just receive the confirmation from Thai Airways and Hotel from Phuket. So let me count down the days to Phuket for end of this month. Guess this is the time to celebrate my birthday oversea.

Whole day was in SSDC (Singapore Safety Driving Center) attending my Riding Theory Lesson 1 to 4. Very tired cause 1st two lesson is talk about Traffic Rules and Expressway Behaviour.

Lesson three and four continue to talk about basic motorbike and then carry on to overtaking, making corner turn etc....and .....blah blah...

5pm back in office to monitor the renaming of domain name and un-installing the Exchange server. .....my god...now is already 8:45pm then I remember that I didn't punch my card yet. Lucky I have my taxi receipt to proof that I come in at that time.

Still have 20% more to go before completing the whole process. Finally the internet is up and my account is ready...guess have to wait another 1 hour to finish.

Finally I finish drafting my first Access Control List for Cisco 827 (without Firewall feature) after one day reading and one day scripting.

How I wish she don't set a deadline to end this. And she keep mentioning to me, if I haven't went thru the ceremony with my wife on the last Dec 2002, she won't make this decision to leave me. And she say she make this decision is out of no choice.

My sadness is cannot be describe, becuase she doesn't surf net and doesn't read blog as well. Only word I can say is "very sad".
People wish me to find true love and I find it, but I can't convince her to stay with me.....

This Chinese New Year is not a good one for me, for friends and buddies that have known me for some time can imagine my siutation.

A good theory

If we carry our burdens all the time, sooner or later, we will not be able to carry on, the burden becoming increasingly heavier. What you have to do is to put the glass down, rest for a while before holding it up again.

Morale : We have to put down the burden periodically, so that we can be refreshed and are able to carry on. When you return home from work, put the burden of work down. Don't carry it into your home. You can pick it tomorrow.

Damn, my unit left a voice mail in my mobile to remind me that tomorrow report camp at 6pm instead of 8am. Thought I told them this morning that I'm being excuse from 7Jan to 6Apr for exercise..gotta call medicial clerk again to reconfirm.

2 min later ....they apologies for their negliance on their paper work and reassure that they will post the formal notice to me by the end of the day.

I left my handphone in the car and something happen in the office this morning. One of the server is down and they try to call me from 9 am this morning ....but I left my handphone in car locker and they regards me as Missing In Action. Morever that evening I receive a Green Letter from SAF to ask me to report this Tuesday for Remedial Training. Wat the Fxxx, I already submit my specialist letter to declare that I have serious astham and now asking me to go back for exercise.

Really have to think again and again to upgrade my Poineer headunit to VDO headunit with changer that is able to read CDR/CDRW disc so that I can compose my favour song instead of buying from outside, but the fact is that I have to top up $226 with 800 shell point.

Somemore, new year is coming and need to give red packet to my parent, brothers and grandma.
Guess this CNY will spend a lot of money, lucky had organise a group of my classmate to come over my place this weekend to play Mahjong, hope can win some money from there.

Tonite is my Uni. class gathering for Jan 2003. We have decided to shift from RiverSide point to Bishan Coffee Bean, but becuase of there is only 1 smoker (me lah!) they change to Orange Juli. so that they can stop me from smoking my whole big pack away.

Why when I return the digital camera already then I need it. My water pipe outside the corridor is leaking from last noon until when I reach home last nite. Call the HDB maintenance group and they get a guy to come down and recommend me to change a new @#$%#$%. And say that it is under my own cost cause HDB doesn't care about it. Damn it ...will complain to my MP later.

Shit man, my SQL Server backup tape behave abnormal again. Wonder whether is the old tape problem or the file size too huge. Had ask the person-in-charge to purchase another 2 new tape for Mon/Tues and inform the Tech Support Helpdesk to monitor.

I always try my best to be fair and good to everyone. But why still a lot of people saying that I am unfair to them? Why?

Yestersday was at Singapore Expo Hall 3, saw some urgly car (except Benz) and taken some shot. Here is the picture.

Song !!!! Wake up late in the monring (8am) and take my own time to go for breakfast without anyone tagging along. Breakfast menu is:
1) MeeHon with Chicken Wing, Fried Egg.
2) 1 Big cup of Soya Bean
3) 2 stick of Paul Mall

Take a stroll back to my house and notice the gals are cooking fried rice for their breakfast! Wow !!!! Take some snapshot and will show it to you later when I back in office.

Last nite, our Curtin old classmates met up at Mr Bean Cafe for dinner and chit chat. Manage to take some digital photos. Our session ends around 11pm and I head down to Mohd Sultan to meet Chantelle, Rykiel and Robin cause Robin is flying back tomorrow...in fact in a few hours time. We have some great time and I had to went back around 1 am.

Finally this morning, I manage to get my USB port working again and connect the Nikon CoolPix 2500 to my comp. and upload my first picture of the month. It is a keychain that I bought when I went over to Perth in 2001.




The next picture is my new work station after the renovation, dun blame me for being messy cause I really very busy with lots of request and complain from users.

Out of sudden....no idea wat to blog cause need to tidy up my life. Sigh ~ ~ just thinking how to clear my remaining 3 day leave in this small island.

I just recall I was being offer a 2 way ticket from SIN to MEL at a good price of $400. But it must be travelled before end of March this year. Tempted to buy but thinking of going alone to there is too bore.

Morever, one of lady boss telling me that there will be a chance for me to go to Japan with them if they manage to organise a big group of tour to there. hee hee .....looking forward for it.

I want to dye my hair for this coming new year. Any suggestion from the floor ????

I'm back yesterday afternoon and had a bad weekend spent over there.
Went to Pub "The Peak" around 11pm, playing pool with the driver and the groups decided to switch to disco.
The disco is call "Club Coin", full of Singaporean and chicks with lots of bengs and lians.
Song is not bad just that never seen a disco playing chinese, malay songs and weird dancer on the table. and even invite a birthday boy to sing song on the stage....

Sigh ~ ~ stay around until 4 am then return to hotel with a tired leg...and guess wat...slept until around 6 am and my leg cramp...idiot...couldn't sleep anymore and decided to keep massaging my leg until 8am for breakfast.

Went around to shop for something but no mood. Manage to buy:

1) 2kg of Ka-Lapis
2) New watch belt
....ready no mood to shop.

Tomorrow me will won't be around in town. Hee hee ...take a short break to swim to another island. But will still miss my buddies over here.

Anyway wan to me buy anything from there ?

First day back to work is already an unpleasant feeling. But didn't know that a lot of things doesn't go well in 2003. I was just thinking I need to give up something in order to gain back some thing. But can it be done?

What is done and cannot be undone? I'm wrong in the first place and I wanted to say sorry. But really hope my friend and buddy can understand i have limited time with her already.

Sigh ~ wish to go somewhere and start afresh and have a time machine so that I can choose again.
